PROJECT FOCUS: Whystic Lodge in Altspace
I spent some time agonizing about what should go in the alcoves of the Whystic Lodge. I did a lot of research from adding urns and vases to tapestries and sculptures. Tapestries seem to be something that I could put some artistic 2d work into. So here are some images I found.
First, I chose one, and played around with a couple of filters, and used the trace bitmap feature in inkscape to make the style congruent with the rest of the textures I've made in Whystic Lodge:
They were fine, but not quite good enough. Then I worked this up in Inkscape from scratch using the original as a reference. I like it. It suits the style of Altspace avatars and perhaps also Mozilla Hubs. I'm not quite sure where to put it yet.
