PROJECT FOCUS: Whystic Lodge in Altspace
Yesterday, I chose one of the lecterns mentioned in the previous post, and textured it. Texturing and UV mapping the book took some time to get it to look interesting enough. A fair bit of that time was taken up deciding which quotes to put in the open books. That was enjoyable actually. All the quotes have to do with virtual reality and creativity.
Here's the final version (as of yesterday) textured and sitting in the world. I'm not really pleased how the shadow burns a bit in the front at the top of the wood portion. But I think you have to expect that from low rez light maps that are best for performance!
